As a certified Master Esthetician and skin care veteran who has worked in a plastic skin surgeon’s office, a Salt Lake City medical facility specializing in skin care and owned her own treatment office, Gale Roberts definitely knows skin. So, in 1986, when she noticed a lack of products on the market that would give real results to her aging skin, her mission was clear: to create a new line of skin care products that would finally make a visible difference in the overall quality and clarity of your face that you could actually see and feel. With this mission in mind, she set to work using her vast knowledge from years of working with plastic surgeons and consulting patients to develop innovative products for a new kind of skin care line she aptly named Corrective Skin Care.
Through product development and research, Gale had a major breakthrough when she discovered that the levels of key ingredients in traditional skin care products were not formulated at high enough levels to give optimal change to aging, acne affected and sun damaged skin. With this key piece of information, Gale began developing her first products with higher percentages of benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid and other major ingredients for a new level of effectiveness.
She also made the key connection that each face has completely unique needs that can’t be met through generic formulas, and that for maximum benefits, products need to be customized with different levels of key ingredients for each client. This new idea of product customization has become a key value that will forever set Corrective Skin Care apart from any other line, and continues to draw clients with all skin types.
Besides completely changing the way products are formulated, Gale also broke new ground by recognizing that over time, skin stops reacting to an unchanging skin care routine and that in order to retain optimal results, clients need a skin care routine that is constantly evolving, both in product formulation and usage. Corrective Skin Care addressed this need by offering Skinercise™, or products in different strengths along with ever-changing usage programs to ensure consistent product effectiveness.
Today, Gale is using her love for skin care and vast experience in the Corrective Skin Care line. This very loyal following of clients can’t live without the new glow, clarity and youth CSC has given their faces through unique product favorites like age fighting epidermal growth factor, oxy respiration (which actually helps skin utilize the air to grow new cells), refreshing berry bliss scrub with real anti-oxidizing blueberry extract and brightening licorice mask.
Corrective Skin Care is also a favorite of the media, highlighted by such beauty bibles as Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Redbook, and has likewise been praised by celebrities like Alyssa Milano, Brandi Roderick and Holly Marie Combs, who have fallen in love with the true results that are unique to the CSC line.
The future is looking bright for CSC, as Gale's daughter and Master Esthetician Kelly lends years of experience with in-office treatments and her true love for skin care to give the same great results and care to CSC clients as she takes over the CSC skin care clinic. Now that she's passed on the torch, Gale is anxiously looking forward to devoting more of time to her true passion: developing new products that will give each client the skin they’ve always dreamed of. After all is said and done, Gale notes her favorite accomplishment as, “Seeing the new confidence and glow in my clients when they feel good about their faces”.
