Permanent Cosmetics
Permanent Cosmetics is a non-surgical micro-procedure. Tiny droplets of
custom blended colors are skillfully deposited into the dermal layer of the skin
to simulate natural looking or well-defined Make-Up. My technique is a step by
step check point procedure using precision and enhancement for a natural and
radiant look. Each treatment is as unique as the individual receiving it.

Using your brow bone as a guide, I am able to
beautifully create eyebrows that will lift your eyes, define and take years off
your face! Eyebrows are softly feathered with fine line hair strokes simulating
a natural contour. A combination of custom-blended pigment shades will allow a
dimensional look.

No more smudged lipstick, now you have a brilliant
well defined finished look all day, everyday! Lip procedures can either enhance
the beauty of well-shaped lips or re-shape lips. The procedure can enlarge thin
lips and minimize the appearance of large lips. It can also correct asymmetry

It is my objective to safely and effectively treat skin damage. I work on
scars that leave behind a harsh traumatic remembrance or simply that is visually
undesirable. I help people with various effects of surgery scars, tummy tucks,
face lifts, breast augmentation, cosmetic correction of cleft lips, accident
scars, burns, scar tissue relaxation, vitiligo, stretch marks, sun damage, acne
scars, areola correction (post- mastectomy patients), alopecia enhancement,
vitiligo, hypo-pigmentation, and hyper-pigmentation etc. My goal is to help
people feel more confident about themselves and their skin.

Areola Correction/ Alopecia Enhancement
Repigmentation to the areola/nipple portion of a woman's breast can be done
post-mastectomy. Also, some women prefer larger areolas post-breast
augmentation.
Scar camouflage
Micropigmentation is the process of depositing microns of colored pigment
into the dermal layer of the skin. Micropigmentation is a complex pigmenting
procedure often requiring several applications and techniques for blending and
natural appearance. This procedure is sought out by those (including men and
women) who wish to camouflage their scars by creating an even skin tone.
Scar Revision Treatment
Scars can be corrected or camouflaged. I use a instrument for a scar
relaxation technique called "Raque" to levy out the scar smooth and flat, as
needed with keloids or hypertrophic scars. These innovative technique can be
used to treat numerous cosmetic conditions from surgery scars to vitiligo. This
Procedure has been popular for acne scars.I can smooth out and diminish the acne
scaring and fine lines, while restoring collagen, elasticity, and the
melanocytes cells that produce color, resulting in vibrant, smooth youthful
looking skin. Scars can also be hyper pigmented or hypo pigmented, meaning the
skin is left either white or dark in color. In these cases micropigmentation for
scar camouflage is also used.
Saline/Salabrasion Tattoo Removal
Saline/Salabrasion Tattoo Removal is a more natural yet effective alternative
to laser tattoo removal. The cost of salt-saline removal is often less expensive
and less traumatic to the skin than laser, Dermabrasion, and excision. Using
some of the theory and method of both Saline Tattoo Removal and Salabrasion
Tattoo Removal, creates a highly effective approach to Tattoo Removal. This type
of tattoo removal is accomplished by breaking open the skin with a small hand
held implanter, and introducing a high concentration of sea salt and saline
solution into the dermis (where the unwanted ink or pigment is). Water in the
cells beneath and surrounding the pigment (containing lower concentrations of
salt and water) will rise to the areas containing higher concentrations of salt
via osmosis. The pigment is forced from the dermal layer of the skin upward to
the epidermis by osmotic pressure in an attempt to become equal to the higher
concentration of salt and water. Unwanted ink or pigment will be brought to the
skins surface and shed in the scab that forms over the procedure site. Multiple
treatments may be necessary(2-5). If full removal is not possible it can be
camouflaged with micro-pigmentation.

About Melissa Johnson
Melissa Johnson is a certified Dermagraphic Technician and
micropigmentation specialist. She attended the Scar treatment Center of the
desert located in Palm Desert, CA, were she had her formal education as well as
two years of a internship, under the direct supervision and instruction of the
instructor Guadalupe Pointe ( scarsgone.com). Education
included Scar Revision Treatment, Saline/Salabrasion Tattoo Removal,
Micropigmentation, Permanent Cosmetics, and cosmetic design and color
correction. She has recently moved from Newport Beach, Ca, and is excited to
share her expertise and gain a great clientele in Utah. Her goal is to help
people feel more confident about themselves and their skin. She has had
exceptional training and experience in scar revision and permanent cosmetics,
for reconstructive and cosmetic purposes in both the art and science of
micropigmentation.
