Your Fall Skin Routine Starts With a Strong Foundation

Your Fall Skin Routine Starts With a Strong Foundation

By Kelly Brown, Master Aesthetician and CEO of Corrective Skin One of the things I’ve learned in my years as an aesthetician is that seasonal skin care becomes much easier when you already have a core routine that works. When fall arrives, you have a familiar foundation to build on. You know what keeps your skin comfortable, which products you tolerate, and where you might need a little extra support. For many people, that extra support is moisture. You might notice your skin feeling tighter after cleansing, a little less comfortable by afternoon, or that your makeup is settling into...

What Is EGF and Why Has It Been at the Heart of Corrective Skin for 30 Years?

What Is EGF and Why Has It Been at the Heart of Corrective Skin for 30 Years?

Long before epidermal growth factor became a familiar term in professional skincare, it was the inspiration behind Corrective Skin’s very first proprietary formulation. Our founder, Gale Roberts, first became interested in growth factors after learning about their role in the skin’s natural renewal processes. In 1986, scientists Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi Montalcini received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries of growth factors. Cohen’s work included the discovery of epidermal growth factor, commonly known as EGF, a protein involved in communicating with certain cells found in the skin and other epithelial tissues. From the Treatment Room to Your Daily Ritual: The Corrective Skin Story

Corrective Skin is an aesthetician-founded, female-owned skincare brand created in Salt Lake City more than 30 years ago. What began with founder Gale Roberts developing professional skincare formulas for her treatment-room clients has grown into a mother-and-daughter brand led by master aesthetician Kelly Brown. Why Corrective Skin Formulates Differently: 30+ Years of Aesthetician-Driven Skincare

Hi friends! Kelly here. Founder and CEO of Corrective Skin! Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Peter Anthony on the Utah Business Spotlight Podcast to talk about something I have spent most of my career thinking about, and it inspired me to sit down and write this blog too.  The main theme of our conversation revolved around something I am not only passionate about, but have been asked for almost 30 years non-stop.  So, what actually makes skincare work? Listen to the podcast here   One thing I kept coming back to during my conversation with Peter...

Corrective Skin Antioxidants in Skincare

Antioxidants in Skincare: Your Skin’s Daily Defense Against Visible Aging

Every day, your skin encounters sunlight, pollution, stress and other environmental factors that can generate free radicals. These unstable molecules contribute to oxidative stress, a process that can gradually show up as dullness, uneven tone, loss of firmness and visible lines. Your skin has its own natural defense system, but that support can become overwhelmed. This is where topical antioxidants earn their place in a thoughtful skincare routine. Rather than serving one single purpose, antioxidants help defend the skin from environmental stress while supporting a brighter, healthier-looking complexion. As an aesthetician, I remember when I first truly understood the connection...
